Questions about Indigo Tea Infusion
What does Indigo taste like?
Earthy, softly floral and gently spiced. Butterfly pea flower creates the blue colour, while ginger, tulsi, amla and cardamom add aromatic depth.
How do I brew Indigo?
Use about 1 teaspoon, approximately 2 g, per 250 mL. Add freshly boiled water and steep for 3 to 5 minutes. For iced tea, steep for 5 to 7 minutes, then strain, cool and pour over ice.
Is Indigo naturally caffeine-free?
Yes. Indigo is naturally caffeine-free because it is made with herbs, spices and botanicals rather than caffeinated tea leaves.
How many cups can I make from a 60 g pouch?
A 60 g pouch makes approximately 20 to 30 cups when using about 1 teaspoon, or approximately 2 g, per cup. The actual yield may vary slightly depending on the blend, spoon size and your preferred strength.
Can I enjoy Indigo hot, iced or with milk?
Yes. Brew hot for a colourful, softly aromatic cup. Chill and serve over ice with citrus or fruit. Use in layered mocktails and alcohol-free drinks where colour matters.
Does Indigo contain artificial flavours or added sweeteners?
No. Blue Pepper Tea Infusions contain no artificial flavours, no added sweeteners, and no preservatives or fillers. Any naturally sweet-tasting note comes from ingredients already in the blend.
Why does Indigo change colour when I add citrus?
Butterfly pea flower naturally responds to acidity. Adding lemon or lime can shift the blue infusion toward violet or purple without artificial colour.
